We are so excited: Grandma flew in today! She's staying for the weekend, and Braiden has already had so much fun!

I was trying to get Noah cooing to himself (he talks to the his image in the mirror), but Braiden stole the show. He has a cough that he uses to get your attention / say "hi" / just be goofy. Here it is!

Busy, busy, busy

Wow, it's been almost a week since our last post! We've just been busy with everyday life with two little boys. We are back to swimming every Saturday - Noah had his first time in the pool last weekend! Even though he isn't a big fan of baths, he seemed to like his first swim. Braiden had a blast, as always. He has even learned to blow bubbles under water!

Braiden's favorite time of the day is when Michael comes home from work. Throughout the day, he will ask about daddy. Today we heard a man's voice outside, and Braiden's ears perked up: "Daddy?!" Unfortunately, it only turned out to be the mail man, talking on his cell phone... Braiden often goes to the door, says "Daddy," and waves bye-bye. Braiden was starting to exhibit signs of a picky eater... Until we discovered that he just needed some more flavor in his diet! He even loves spicy foods like Mexican and Indian! He is using a fork and a spoon a lot, with pretty good results. His new favorite is dipping things.



Noah keeps growing... He is 12 weeks today! He is still our laidback little sunshine who loves being held and talked to. He loves to sit up and watch all the action around him. Braiden invented a sign for Noah: he points to his own nose when talking about his little brother. :) Here is a video of the brothers.

Fun in the Box

As I was getting ready to get rid of the big cardboard box this morning, Braiden decided to crawl inside. Turns out, we had fun with it all day long!

We spent most of the morning outside, even though it wasn't the warmest of days.

If you think Braiden takes a break from cleaning just because he is outside, think again!

Braiden insisted on wearing his rain boots, even though it really wasn't wet at all. But, you know, they have fire trucks on them.

Presidents' Day Weekend

We enjoyed the long weekend! Michael has been busy studying for an exam that he needs to take this week, but we still squeezed in some family time. Braiden has been busy! We cleaned up the backyard to expand his territory - and he loves it! We have more work to do, but Braiden now has a playhut with some tunnels and a little slide out there. Braiden has recently gotten very much into trains (he makes a funny motion, mimicking the train) and fire trucks (he gets very animated when you mention this, complete with a high pitched wail). Not only that, but he has been spending even more time building towers and playing with his cars. Such a little boy!

Noah seems to grow right in front of our eyes. He loves to sit up and look around, and singing to him gets the biggest laughs! He looks like a little old man right now, with his receding hairline and tufts of hair above his ears. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Taking a picture with both boys smiling proved impossible (I see lots of trying photo shoots in our future, ha).

Here's our 10-wk old heartbreaker! As of this week, he is 14lbs 2oz! Almost off the charts for both height and weight. Noah is growing up! He is laughing and smiling a lot and loves people.



Braiden and Noah got some valentines; thanks Izzy! Braiden has been carrying them around since the mail came.

Braiden has been mesmerized by the odd weather phenomenon all day: rain.

Grandma sent us Valentine's Day cookies! Yum! Mama thinks they are too pretty to eat, but realizes she is outnumbered by the cookie lovers of the house. They will be gone by the weekend!

Turns out, he also loves to brush Daddy's teeth!

Jailed? The weather has been great, and we've made daily trips to the playground.

Noah is ten weeks old now and Braiden 16 months! Both Daddy and Braiden got haircuts today. Again, there are no pictures of the event... mommy was too busy trying to bribe Braiden to sit quietly. He enjoyed his m&m's again. :)

Daddy came home early on Wednesday, so the whole family took a trip to the park!




Another playground on Thursday... Braiden loves it. He had no interest in swinging, sliding, or really doing anything that didn't involve bark.
