Snowmageddon!

February 2010 will be remembered... as the month of the SNOW! Washington D.C. area experienced its worst blizzard in record history. Everything shut down, essentially. Schools were closed for 2 weeks, roads went unplowed, and hundreds of thousands of people lost power and thus, heat. We were among the lucky ones who were spared that - and good thing and because our house doesn't have an alternate source of heat such as a fireplace. All in all, we got a total of more than 50 inches (~1.5 m) of snow in a matter of days. Michael was home for 11 days, and we took advantage of the "snowcation" with, well, shoveling and playing in the snow. We live in a cul-de-sac so there weren't many options... our road wasn't plowed for 10 days. We had plenty of food, electricity, and lots of family time! :)
