Catching Up

Lots of pictures and videos I've been meaning to post.

Noah enjoying a warm day.

Braiden and Daddy's tower! Building is one of Braiden's favorite things to do now. And speaking of Daddy, Braiden doesn't say "Dada" anymore... it's "Daddy!" now (always with a lot of enthusiasm)!

Grandma and Noah.

And 5 minutes later...

Walk in the park!

Wheeeee!

Zoo!

We packed up the boys and went to the zoo yesterday!

Noah stretching in his pajamas.

Braiden and Daddy checking out the elephants. Braiden thinks they roar.

Braiden and Daddy looking at the kangaroos. Braiden thinks they roar too.

Braiden and Daddy with some camels! Yup, they roar. Check out Braiden mooing and roaring here.

Noah and mama at the monkey exhibit.

Snack break! Noah mostly slept in the stroller, but Braiden had a great time looking around. His favorite at the zoo? No, it wasn't the elephants... or the tigers... or the monkeys... It was the numerous tour buses!!! Here's a video of him ignoring the camels and admiring the bus.

Braiden loved running around! And we loved the peace of mind that came with having him close to us in a very crowded zoo.

Oh my! Braiden got to eat his first chocolate chip cookie!!!

Dreaming of Little League

Braiden warming up.

Streeeeeetch!

Check out my fastball!

I'll even fix your field equipment if you let me try out!

Noah has discovered his hands! He likes to fold them, watch them, eat them... especially when he's tired.

Getting Dirty on Tuesday

We enjoyed a warm evening out in the backyard. Braiden, always the explorer, discovered some water in a bucket... And what's more fun than mixing that up with some dirt?!

Noah observing.

Braiden taking his first shower (he was too dirty for a bath)!

Fun in the Sun!

The weather has been gorgeous! It has been in the upper 70s and lower 80s, so if you noticed our blog posts have been infrequent, it's because we haven't spent any time indoors!

Rrrrrroar! And Mooooooving

Braiden loves animals! He can roar like a lion, moo like a cow, hiss like a snake, smack like a bunny, and squeak like a puppy. Here is a short video of some of his talents!

We've been going to the playground a lot. Right after lunch we usually have the whole big park to ourselves! Braiden is still taking two naps - or more accurately, a morning nap and some quiet time in his crib in the afternoon. Here is a video of his antics at the park.

Noah continues being his sunny, happy self. Here is a short video of him. He is quite the kicker! Socks are no match for him.

Braiden appropriately learned to "Moo" this week. It was cute, we had kept repeating it to him for a while even though he had no interest in mimicking us. Well, one day I casually asked him what the cow says, and he looked at us, and with a clear, sure voice said: "Moo." So cool!
So why is it appropriate for this week? We are mooooving! In May, we'll haul ourselves cross-country to Maryland for 3 years.
It's bittersweet. We immediately felt at home in San Diego. We've made amazing friends. This was our first home together, and both boys were born here. Oh yeah, and then there's the weather. But the move will be worth it - Michael will be on shore duty! No deploying for the entire time we will be there. Aaaaaaaaaaah. And while we'll sadly be farther from Michael's family, the move will bring us closer to mine. And maybe, just maybe, we'll get to call San Diego home again some day.

Oh, and if you are familiar with Maryland, leave a comment or shoot us an email! We might have questions for you. :)
