Or more like: "We're not in San Diego anymore, Braiden and Noah!" The boys wore gloves this morning, for the first time in their lives... So sad.
Last weekend I was wondering out loud to Michael why the boys sleep in until 8am on the weekends, but are up with the dawn during the week. Well, as it happens, this morning they did sleep until 8!!! Problem was that we had Braiden's 2 year check-up at 8:30am.
I woke up at 7:48am, and apparently it's possible to get yourself, two sleepy boys and a diaper bag ready in 15 minutes, because next time I looked at the clock, it was 8:05. That gave me enough time to defrost the windshield in the car, nurse Noah, throw a makeshift take-along breakfast together, and find their gloves. And we weren't even late to the doctor's appointment! (The glove pictures are staged though, I didn't stop to take them in the morning :-D)
But most importantly, we have a healthy, thriving 2-yr old. Braiden is 27 lbs and 34 inches, although who really knows, as he wasn't cooperating with the nurse. He refused to talk to the doctor either, except for "No!" whenever she asked a question or tried to examine him, and "Bye-bye" when she left. :-)

No, Eppu oli teillä 3kk ikäisenä ensimmäisenä joulunaan. Mutta silloinkin vain käärimme isoon vilttiin kun menimme jonnekin. Eikä tainnut olla lunta edes silloin!

Saina, kiitos kysymästä. Matka oli työmatka eli suurin osa meni luentosalissa. Ehdin kyllä ihmetellä longhorn karjaa, cowboy meininkiä ja lattanaa preeriaa. Oli mielenkiintoista käydä sielläkin päin mannerta, mutta ei jäänyt kaipuuta. San Diego on enemmän 'mun juttu', samoin rannikkoalueet yleensäkin. Mukavaa Thanksgiving päivän valmistelua ja odotusta. jutta
Riitta- Kiitos! Hauskaa viikonloppua sinnekin! Tuntuu niin aikaiselta että lumi jo tulisi, mutta onhan nyt jo marraskuu. Täälläkin on muutama hiutale näkynyt ilmassa tällä viikolla, joka on kyllä kuulemma tälle alueelle aikaista.
Jutta - Kiva kuulla että oli hyvä matka! Olin itsekin tänä kesänä ensimmäistä kertaa vasta Texasissa, kun ajoimme itärannikolle. Ei jäänyt kaipuuta mullekaan, oltiin siellä ihan pahimpana kuumana aikana. Jos koskaan pääset Oregoniin ja/tai Washingtoniin, ne ovat kanssa ihania rannikko osavaltioita - voi olla, että olet sielläkin jo ollut. Michaelin perhe on niillä alueilla.
It's definitely getting cold here. I actually said I missed California to a friend the other day, too. At least the boys will get a chance to play in the snow - it's the only thing that makes the cold worth it.
I am so impressed that you got to that doctor's appointment on time. I'm glad Braiden is doing so well!
Thanks Lauren! Braiden is definitely fascinated by the snow... We went outside briefly and he stuck his hand out, lol.
