Trapped Indoors

For the last week or so, it has been too hot to play outside. So we've spent a lot of time playing indoors! Today was another one of those days. Well, we did run some errands, but that isn't quite the same as running off the energy outside.

Braiden's craft of the day: foam stickers!

There's no use laying down a blanket for Noah anymore... He is rolling all over the place!

Boys in the box!

He's a google head.

When Noah was only a few days old, we put them both in this chair to try and take a picture... Ever since, Braiden has always wanted Noah to sit in it with him.

Watching a fire truck show together...

Must be a good one!

Monkey Boy

The little monkey last night, before his bath. He has become such a character! We love watching his personality emerge.

Boys Together

With a busy weekend behind us, we are getting back into our everyday routines. After being home last week, Michael went back to work for good, and the boys and I have kept busy at home. There are still boxes here and there and pictures to hang on the walls, but the house is starting to look like home!

Oh, and Noah's 2nd bottom tooth broke through. More drool!

My three favorite boys (Braiden is 20 months today!).

Brothers playing together with stacking cups.

Braiden has gotten so good about sharing his toys (and space!) with Noah. He won't try to take things away from Noah anymore (too often, that is), and he'll even give Noah something to play with.

Although... this "brotherly" might be pushing it.

More of Noah's solids adventures...

Such a typical Noah expression.

YEOWCH!

At 6 months and 3 days, Noah's first tooth came through! It can't really be seen yet, but um, it can be felt.

No playing with your food, little man!

Smile!

Here are miscellaneous pictures from this week. The weather has been hot and humid, but Braiden has still loved playing outside. We set up a kiddie sprinkler for him, and that has been a big hit. And today, the mail brought the boys another package!

Daniel, Andrew, Sarah, Thomas and Annabel got Braiden and Noah this amazing water play table! Braiden spent a good hour playing with it! Thanks cousins, we love it!!! (Braiden really is smiling in the picture.)

Special Noah smiles.

Sprinkler fun!

Wow! He stayed still long enough for a picture and a smile.

Happy Noah.

The boys are in such a fun age. They think everything we do is so funny. There's a lot of laughter and a lot of smiles at our house! But just so you don't think it's all fun and games... Here's what Noah thought of that meal.

Whaaaat is this?!

Are you trying to poison me??

Catching Up

Ready? Lots of pictures.

First, pictures from our stop in Texas. We visited Michael's cousin, Sherry, her husband Aaron and Isabella, who is just a few months younger than Braiden.

Izzy had cool toys!

Here we are, playing together. The two toddlers did pretty well, overall, with sharing toys. Izzy was so good at letting Braiden play with her stuff!

She had a very cool cabinet, all to herself!

They also had two dogs, Josie and Nemo. Poor dogs were in the bedroom most of the time, away from the eager hands of Braiden...

Josie making her escape.

Noah loved Isabella's toys as well!

Daddy and the boys.

Noah's crazy hair in the wind.

Isabella took us to a park close to her house!

Braiden still loves bark.

The boys enjoyed being out of the car, and outdoors.

Some Daddy and Noah time.

Thanks to our well-timed brake trouble, we got to spend a few extra days with Sherry, Aaron and Isabella. We also saw Michael's other cousin Dan and his family a lot, and we got to go over to their house the night before we left.

Braiden loved the slide they had in the backyard.

The duet!

Braiden got to try out the trampoline, briefly.

Look at Braiden, sitting in a big chair! Taken on Saturday, the day after our things arrived to the new house.

Noah Is 6 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that our little one turned 6 months old today!

Noah is still as happy as ever. We've lost count of how many people comment on him being "the happiest baby ever". Actually, we think Noah is a big part of us getting this house. The owners were showing it a lot, but decided on us... Noah charmed our landlord! Every time he comes by he has commented, "That baby just makes my day!" Noah flashes a smile to anyone who just looks at him. Braiden only has to walk past him, and that draws a giggle.

Noah, my little nursling, also got to start solids this past Saturday! So far, he has sampled banana and sweet potato. He wasn't quite as enthused as we thought he was going to be, but he's getting the hang of it. Mostly he'd like to grab the spoon and go at it alone.

Noah is more than happy to deposit a bucketful of drool in your lap, if you'd like. He is about to get his first two teeth, what fun! The poor guy is constantly gnawing on something. He is getting quite adept at rolling both ways. He has also mastered getting the binky in his mouth on his own! Woohoo!

Our little man has also gotten quite... loud. It's all happy squeals and screeches, but boy, he is a vocal one! He only really gets fussy if he is tired, or if we ignore him for too long. He loves his exersaucer and likes being on the floor too, but mostly, he still loves to be held.

Moving update: We are getting there, with most of the unpacking done. We still need to purchase some things, put some things together, find right homes for some things, and well, you get the picture. But it's nice to have the big things done and to be "in the details". The boys have adjusted to our new home so well! Braiden was excited to see all his toys again. We still love the house and the location. Michael checked in to work for a little while yesterday and today, but he is now off until Tuesday, which will give us time to finish settling in.
