But oh yeah, today on Daddy's birthday, Braiden also turned 18 months. As any reader knows, he is a very busy guy! Latest favorite is climbing, climbing, climbing. He is still signing a lot (over 40 signs now!), but we now have 7 words as well! He says daddy, mama, num-num, uh oh, oh my, all done, and thank you. He still points to his nose for Noah, and he also has made up signs for hot, hug, outside, and here.
Braiden is working on getting some upper molars... which has been fun. But that topic deserves a whole other post in itself. But overall he is a very happy, laidback little man. He loves being outside, and usually asks to be let out in the backyard right after breakfast. He loves all the outings we have with our playgroup, and the playground, as you can see from today's pictures!
Braiden's becoming a transportation nut. His favorites are trains and fire trucks - just like daddy's, when he was little! We have two DVDs that he loves to watch, one about fire engines and one about trains. These are the only two shows that he will sit through, usually the entire 30 mins!
Daddy is Braiden's best friend. His favorite time of the day is when Michael comes home. As soon as we hear his car, Braiden rushes to the door. Very cute! He has also become a little more affectionate as of late... Now we even get kisses, occasionally! Ironically, he likes to kiss the entertainment center. Go figure. I think it's just to ruffle our feathers.
He's still an excellent sleeper! He sleeps from about 7:30pm to 7am, and takes either one or two naps, depending on what we have going on during the day. He loves nap time, since it means he gets to be reunited with his binkies and blankies! When we go get him, he is usually lounging in his crib and doesn't even want to get up right away.
Happy 18 months, Braiden! It has been a joy to watch you grow up. We love you!

Onnea pikkuiselle - ja isällekin! Puolitoista vuotiaana lapset ovat todella veikeitä, oppivat joka päivä uutta ja puhtia ja puuhaa riittää aamusta iltaan. Hauska pieni poika!
